Second Star to the Right – Finished!

I finished this quilt up last week, and took it to my sister’s baby shower, hoping to get a cute picture of it in her nursery.

But apparently she hasn’t set up her nursery yet {two months to go, no rush!}

So I bribed my parents’ cat to sit on it instead.

It’s a simple quarter log cabin, with some Pearl Bracelets and Vintage Modern and I don’t remember the yellow or green print. Blue minky back, Pearl Bracelet binding.

I quilted in my sister’s and her husband’s initials. She refused to tell me even the initial for the baby! Meanie.

The rest of the quilting is a boxy stipple from Free Motion Quilting with Angela Walters. LOVE IT. So easy!

And it’s ready and waiting for my nephew’s birth!

{Also, I have two giveaways running – one for a Something New PDF and one for a four-pack of Porch Swing Maxi Quilts AND a layer cake!}

sarah did it!

Adorable quilt in such soft colors!
So nice of the cat to step in for the unfinished nursery. LOL. Midgie thanks you for being the only person to link or comment on her post last week!

Hehe 🙂 Go, kitty. 😀

Seriously loving your sister’s comment up there!

I’m loving this quilt, and glad you were able to convince the cat to sit on it for you. It’s nice and simple without being simplistic. Very pretty. And Minky! Enough said!

Perfect quilt for a baby boy. I like how the blocks make “knots” with the dark green and bright blue. Congrats on the finish.

Lovely quilt.
I don’t think cats really have to be bribed to sit on quilts! LOL

Your sister

For the record, my nursery is not set up because YOUR son was using MY crib. So you did get a picture with his crib.

Maybe you can add some initials in later. I love this quilt, and its name.
