Frozen Princess Quilt – Finished!

The first of the Frozen panel quilts, which was actually the second flimsy finished and the second one quilted, is the first one done! {That’s what happens when you make piles. Things disappear to the bottom.}

This is from a pattern by Fat Quarter Shop, kitted up by my friend’s LQS in Illinois. There are very few people I will do this kind of thing for – “if I send you the fabric, will you…?” but the recipient is my goddaughter. So family forever!

We had a dusting of snow the other day, and the Dude scraped up every bit of it to make this poor prop snowman.

Ahh, there’s the true colors of the fabric. I hated this pattern – the blocks’ original instructions has so much waste. I changed it to HSTs, but then ended up having to trim 192 of those… On the bright side, I have lots of dotty blender fabrics leftover.

The backing is, unsurprisingly, pink Frozen flannel. The quilting is big “snow” swirls.

And look, I actually filled out the label!

Now to get Olaf bound and mailed these out…

So sweet of you to make and finish it. I really like it with the all over quilting.

Very nice quilt.

Oh what a really pretty Frozen quilt, I never thought such a thing was possible! I love the snowflakes, they’re worth it despite the fabric wastage and the pink flannel on the back is my daughters’ idea of heaven!

Congrats on the finish. Very fun front and back!
