BOMs Away – Celtic Solstice May

Huh. Last time I worked on this was Easter. Now I spent all of Mother’s Day with this lovely project. I should schedule it for Father’s Day next month!

I’m up to 32 blocks now. And I measured my backing and did what I’ve been meaning to do since I pulled this out – I planned it. Weird, right? So my final numbers will be 56 blocks, and I even counted out how many parts I need to finish it. I have a spreadsheet!

And then I have to figure out what I’m doing with the border. Sigh. I mis-planned. Not very surprising. The diamonds that I really want to do…I have to figure out a filler. Or I could go with the border on the lower left…but did I mention I really like the diamonds?

Luckily I have a couple more months before I need to figure that out!

I love the colors in your version. I need to drag mine out at some point and finish it. This is one of my favorite BH designs.

I’m with you – I like the diamonds too. The triangles, not so much. Keep working at it, and you’ll get it figured out. Thank you for sharing on Midweek Makers

Oh that looks so good. As well as being organized! I’m in awe and inspired.

The diamonds looks super cool, and I really like the colors in this quilt. It’s so pretty! A spreadsheet – now that’s organized! Thanks for linking to MCM. 🙂

I love how this is coming out! FWIW… I also like the diamonds… I say try to figure out a filler. Is that possible?

Wow! A spreadsheet too? I’m sure it will help you stay organized. I try to count when I cut units but I don’t always succeed. This is going to be a wonderful quilt.
