BOMs Away – Celtic Solstice April

I got to spend my Easter with spring colors! Is there anything better than that? Well, I mean, besides spending it with my husband – but deployments, what can you do? I wallowed in the kids’ Easter chocolate and pieced a few more blocks of Celtic Solstice.

From 15 to 24! {One is on the table still…oops!} I think I want a 6×8 layout, so I’m halfway there. I need to double check my backing – I bought a hunk of Good Neighbors wide backing over a year ago, so that’s the confines I’m working within. That and I’m running low on my neutral!

This is definitely how I’m doing my borders, not the official pattern one. I’m going to finish out the neutral/turquoise triangle/rectangle in the border, too.

So, some good forward progress on that one for a month. Did you make any progress? You can link up here or at What a Hoot!

That’s one pretty quilt – you’re almost done! Thanks for sharing on Midweek Makers!

I love your fabric choices in this quilt. And your border is going to finish it off in style. Beautiful!

I think this is the most stunning Celtic Solstice I’ve seen. It is gorgeous. I love the colors you chose!

I really like how the design is coming out on your version of Celtic Solstice. I used Bonnie’s suggested colors for my project. It was all scraps too =^.^= Sandi

Kate! This is so pretty – shines even more as it gets bigger.

Wow, that’s a pretty quilt. Love your fabrics.
